MR5 Monitoring Receiver

The SAC MR-5 Monitor Receiver with Loop Antenna fulfills FAA requirements for "off the air" monitoring for non Fed instrument approaches.
Single channel operation in the 190kHz - 650kHz frequency range. The MR-5 Monitor receivers are available in 19-inch rack mount or desk top configuration.
This unit would be supplied in the following 5 frequency bands (which are factory tunable and must be specified with order) :
  -   195 - 245 kHz
  -   245 - 315 kHz
  -   315 - 415 kHz
  -   415 - 535 kHz
  -   535 - 650 kHz

SE-Series Remote Control unit

The SE-series Transmitter can be monitored and controlled by the Remote Control Unit over the user’s LAN, through fiber optic wire, or via Radio Link. Our control and monitoring options for the Remote Control Unit are easy to set up and operate. The Remote Control Unit can also be used in conjunction with our Web Watch software. This enables you to monitor and operate your system from virtually anywhere. We have several connection options to fit your project’s needs.
The addition of the Remote Control to the Radiobeacon Control System involves the installation of a Remote Radiobeacon Control Unit at the remote control site, and connection of either RS-232 or RS-485 from the transmitter. The RCU can be linked by RS485 or RS232 from the transmitter or daisy chain multiple RCU's maximum length.
The RCU is also designed for indoor mounting in a standard 19 inch cabinet. Panel height is 9 in. (22cm), panel depth is 8 in (21cm), and width is 19 in. (48cm).

The following Test Equipment are recommended to be avaialable in site for the installation, troubleshoting and maintenance of SAC NDB equipment.

Test Load
Test Loads are highly recommended for installation and testing to protect your valuable equipment Southern Avionics sells, and can ship with your NDB, a 50 Ohm non-reactive test load for use during installation, testing, and maintenance. The Test Load is used when operating the transmitter in a lab environment and troubleshooting the secondary Transmitter in the field.

Antenna Simulator
Antenna Simulators are used to tune the coupler. Southern Avionics sells and can ship with your NDB, an antenna simulator for use during installation, testing, and maintenance. The Antenna Simulator is used when operating a complete system in a lab environment and simulating the antenna in the field to troubleshoot possible ATU or Antenna problems.

Bird Watt Meter and Elements
Bird Watt Meters and Elements are highly recommended for installation and testing to protect your valuable equipment. They are for use when operating the Transmitter in a lab environment and measuring the power flow and load match in the field.
